Yavapai-Apache Nation Housing # 4

Cherry Lane & Skah Ddah Gag Ahm Jah
Camp Verde, Arizona 86322

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Housing program (YANTH) used a 2010 allocation of credits from the Arizona Department of Housing to build 36 new units on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation in Camp Verde, AZ. These units include a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom units interspersed throughout a combination of triplexes, duplexes and single-family homes. One unit has been designated as a resident manager’s unit. The units are large, between 1,400 and 1,900 square feet, and the two playgrounds included in the project will cater to the families and their children. YANTH also set aside seven units specifically for physically disabled residents who will be served by a vast network of supportive services catering to those residents’ specific needs. The units are beautiful outside and in. The units exterior features xeriscape landscaping, cool roofing materials, and insulated foundations to conserve energy. The inside of the homes also conserve energy with low-flow fixtures, Energy Star appliances, and blown-in insulation in the walls and attic. Each home also has a solar array on its roof.

Alliant Capital is the investor for this project.
