Last week at an awards ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Building, Dale Schrock and Keith Redthunder, on behalf of the Colville Indian Housing Authority (CIHA), accepted the 2012 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award in Rural Housing for its Buttercup Lane Housing Development. I attended the ceremony and was proud to help congratulate the housing authority on its achievement on behalf of the entire Travois staff.

It comes as no surprise that The Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) announced that this year’s competition was the most competitive in the 18-year history of the award. Of the 55 nominations from 24 states, there were six first place finishers and 10 honorable mentions.

We would again like to congratulate CIHA on developing a great project! Read more about the project here.
