If you drive through the heart of the reservation, you will see evidence that health and wellness are important to the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Nowhere is this on clearer display than at the Peter Christensen Dental Clinic on the Lac du Flambeau Reservation. The facility is seeing patients and offering programs that increase health and job opportunities in the region. It is part of the broader health campus that includes opportunities to see other providers within walking distance.
Travois keeps up with our clients and we were excited to see such a heavy emphasis on health in last month’s edition of Our Voice. Travois seeks to invest in organizations and communities that have a clear vision for their future. Just a glance through last month’s tribal news shows that Lac du Flambeau leadership understand the connection between health, wellness and economic development.
