Welcome reception
Our welcome reception, a popular networking event to kick off our conference, will be at the award-winning Indigenous restaurant Owamni created by Sean Sherman, The Sioux Chef.
Located just a three-minute walk from our hotel, the venue features a menu from Native food producers and an outdoor terrace overlooking the river. We have reserved the entire space to accommodate our conference guests.

What is close to the hotel?
Many shops, activities, attractions, and restaurants are just a short walk or ride away from the hotel.

St. Anthony Main
A footpath along Third Avenue provides access across the river to St. Anthony Main. The charming district is characterized by its cobblestone road lined with a historic theater, restaurants, and patios. It’s also the oldest portion of the city.

Northeast Minneapolis
Venture into the Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood, and you’ll discover a variety of restaurants, markets, breweries, and coffee shops. It’s an enjoyable walk or quick car ride away.

Nicollet
A short walk in the opposite direction takes you to downtown Minneapolis and Nicollet, the city’s shopping and entertainment district. This mile-long, pedestrian-friendly area restricts motor vehicles to buses and taxis. It features bars, restaurants with sidewalk seating, shops, and art.
Airport and transportation
The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is the primary airport for the city.
Located about 10 miles from the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, the airport is easily accessible through various modes of ground transportation.
Taxi and rideshare options are readily available at the airport for a 20-minute drive to the hotel.
Metro Transit, which offers light rail and bus services, is also available. Take a 30-minute ride on the Blue Line from the airport to the Government Plaza stop, followed by a seven-minute walk to our hotel.
