Laguna III
The Laguna Housing Development and Management Enterprise (LHDME) developed Laguna III, comprising 20 townhome units and a community building, with funding through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.
With our support, LHDME secured nearly $7.9 million in investor equity and a $750,000 grant to fund the affordable housing development.

Pueblo-inspired design
Our architects designed the project with families of the Pueblo of Laguna in mind, especially those with children.
The site layout encourages a sense of community and energy-efficient features reduce utility costs for tenants.
Our architects and LHDME selected custom colors to reflect the surrounding scenery.

Supporting the community
The community building provides a space for families to engage in health and nutrition classes, health screenings, computer training, tutoring, youth character development, and financial literacy programs.
The Pueblo of Laguna celebrated completion of Laguna III in 2024 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with dancing, music, and vendors.
Affordable housing and economic development are critical to ensure Tribal sovereignty and sustainable communities that incorporate cultural values and traditions, allowing for Tribal members who live away from ‘home’ to come back and help contribute to the Tribe.”
