17th Annual Travois Indian Country Affordable Housing & Economic Development Conference

Our educational conference provides detailed instruction on Travois’ services to Native communities: financing and developing rental and for-sale affordable housing, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, economic development, the New Markets Tax Credit program, asset management and compliance, and architectural design, construction monitoring and more! Using the two federal tax credit programs, our clients have created more than $1 billion of new and rehabilitated homes, businesses and services and more vibrant communities in Indian Country.


Our conference registration is free of charge to employees of TDHEs, tribes, tribal colleges and universities, Alaska Native groups, and Native Hawaiian organizations!

For all other organizations, the registration fee is $750 per person. These seats are very limited, as our conferences typically sell out and are filled by Travois clients, project partners and corporate sponsors. To inquire about availability, please email Eden Rensing at eden@travois.com.

If you secure a seat and register, you will receive an invoice via email. Please submit payment before the conference, payable by check, and address it to Travois, 310 W. 19th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64108.

For registered attendees 

You will receive a confirmation email once you register for our conference through our online registration system, and it will include instructions on how to book a discounted hotel room.

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel and hotel accommodations. We have reserved a block of rooms with discounted pricing at our host hotel, the Westin Austin Downtown. Our discounted room rates are $239/night plus tax and fees.

The deadline for our discounted pricing is Wednesday, March 1. Be sure to register before this discounted pricing expires.

Once you arrive at the conference, please check in at our registration table. You will receive a name badge, which is your ticket for all events. Your registration includes the welcome reception, breakfast, lunch and snacks on both days, session information and an attendee list through our event app. By registering, you agree to allow Travois to take photos of you for potential use in future promotional materials.


Substitution and cancellation policy

Substitution policy for all attendees
Substitutions without penalty may be made up until Wednesday, March 15.

Cancellation policy for paid registrations
In the event of a cancellation between today and Wednesday, March 1, Travois will refund 50 percent of your registration fee. Any cancellations made after Wednesday, March 1 will not be refunded.
