The Yavapai-Apache Nation Homes V project received a 2015 allocation of $870,954 in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) from the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) on June 30, 2015.
This project will build 38 new units in a mix of single-family, duplex and triplex buildings and a new community building on the Yavapai-Apache Nation Reservation in Camp Verde, AZ. The housing is targeted for families with children.
Twelve units are set aside for households with annual incomes up to 40 percent of Area Median Household Income (AMI), 16 units are set aside for households up to 50 percent AMI, and 10 units are set aside for households up to 60 percent AMI. The project’s units are designed to meet ADOH’s mandatory design guidelines and will incorporate several green building techniques.
The project will include solar panels on each unit, which will offset 60 percent or more of each tenant’s utility bill.
The project is situated within the Yavapai-Apache Nation’s Tunlii Community and is in close proximity to Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Housing’s office.
Residents of the project will benefit from the Tunlii Express that runs through the subdivision and the site’s close proximity to the health care center, a recreation center, parks and various other services offered by the project and the nation.
RBC Capital Markets is the investor for this project.
