Training Information

In addition to our annual conference, we also offer other trainings throughout the year:

  • Travois hosts free webinars featuring a variety of affordable housing and economic development topics. We invite clients and industry partners to speak and share their experiences. Our experts provide in-depth instruction on the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program​​ and share innovative practices in planning, securing financing, architectural design, construction monitoring, asset management and compliance and more.
  • We developed the Certified Tribal Housing Professional (CTHP) certification course. This intensive three-day course is designed to equip Tribal housing professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilize the LIHTC program and NAHASDA. The course covers the fundamentals of LIHTC, application processes, compliance requirements, and strategies for successful project implementation within Tribal communities.
  • Travois also sponsors trainings on the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) and Housing Opportunity through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA).
