Using tax credits to pay for 70-85% of your big housing effort | 1 – 2 p.m. (CDT)
Tribes across the country have used the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program to develop or rehabilitate more than 5,900 housing units in Native communities. The LIHTC program has provided more than $831 million of equity for tribal housing developments with funds that do not have to be repaid.

In this session, we’ll explain how the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program can be used to finance health care facilities and meet health care needs in your community.
Tribes across the country have used the NMTC program to develop more than $570 million of critical economic development in Indian Country. The program has provided more than $122 million in equity proceeds for health care and economic development projects with funds that do not have to be repaid. Learn how this valuable financing resource can be used to meet the health care needs in your community and help provide a funding resource for community amenities, infrastructure, schools, business investments and other related developments.

Title VI Loan Guarantees: Another strategy to access capital for housing and infrastructure | 1 – 2 p.m. (CDT)
Learn how to access capital for housing and economic development efforts with a financing tool that’s unfamiliar to most. In this webinar, we’ll provide an in-depth look at the Title VI 95% Loan Guarantee from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a program that can provide funding for Tribal housing and infrastructure development up to five times the Need portion of the formula allocation.
We’ll also explain how the Affordable Housing Program and the Capital Magnet Fund can provide supplemental funding through grants for your affordable housing and economic development projects.
