Travois was recently named a “Champion of Business” by The Kansas City Business Journal. Along with 14 other companies, Travois was recognized for setting gold standards for financial performance, industry leadership and community involvement.
“We are thrilled to be recognized,” said David Bland, chairman and CEO of Travois. “Not only is it a pat on the back, but it gives us a platform to speak about the important and rewarding work that we do in bringing private investor equity to housing and economic development in Indian Country.”
This is the seventh year the Kansas City Business Journal has named 15 top companies in the Kansas City area. An independent panel of judges chose the winning companies. To be considered for the award, companies must be located in the Greater Kansas City area, must have existed as a business for at least three years and must meet financial requirements.
Champions of Business winners were recognized at an awards luncheon Friday, May 10, at the Sheraton Overland Park.
Other 2013 winners are A.L. Huber General Contractor, ARC Physical Therapy+, Balance Innovations, Burns & McDonnell, Country Club Bank, Ecco Select, Fike Corp., Garney Cos. Inc., Inergy LP, Milbank Manufacturing, PLATTFORM, Sprint Nextel, Suhor Industries Inc., and VML.
