This new construction project, located on the Leech Lake Reservation, received an allocation from Minnesota Housing in 2018.
With this award, the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority (LLHA) built 30 new single-family homes, each with two-car detached garages, in Cass Lake, MN.
The development includes 12 two-bedroom homes, 10 three-bedroom homes and eight four-bedroom homes. Four of the 30 homes are set aside for previously homeless families.
The homes are located in an area with a multitude of services. Residents have access to the Leech Lake Tribal Transit, which has fixed routes and dial-a-ride options, for transportation to work, school, shopping, services, appointments and more. Notable services offered within proximity of the development include grocery stores, discount stores, restaurants, gas stations, police and fire services, a hospital, schools and community centers.
The homes are intended for homeownership after the compliance period elapses. Residents will have an opportunity to purchase their homes at affordable prices and become homeowners.
Raymond James Tax Credit Funds is the development investor.
