Warm Springs Homes # 2

Oregon

Warm Springs Homes #2 received a 2022 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) award from Oregon Housing and Community Services. This development is Warm Spring Housing Authority’s (WSHA) second LIHTC project.

The development will rehabilitate 18 housing units between two sites on the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation in Warm Springs, Oregon.

Site 1, Foster-Sheerer, includes the rehabilitation of four single-family homes and five duplex buildings with a total of 10 units. A new laundry building will also be built at this site.

Site 2, Elk Loop, will rehabilitate two duplex buildings with four units. An additional bedroom will be added to each of the four units.

The housing units are two and three-bedroom floor plans and all 18 units are targeted to households with annual incomes up to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI).

Many amenities are located a short distance (1.5 miles or less) from both sites: a community center, grocery store, bus station, K-8 schools, a park, and a hospital and emergency medical services. Residents also have access to adult and family services.

WSHA has developed over 400 units of affordable housing for tribal members, including 35 new single-family homes in their first LIHTC project.

Travois Design is the project architect.
