1. Understanding physical inspection guidelines: UPCS Training | March 22-23 in Tucson

Mike Price

For housing authorities/departments that prepare for on-site physical inspections, Travois Asset Management Director Mike Price will help you understand what is inspected and what is needed to pass at the upcoming Uniform Physical Conditions Standards (UPCS) Inspection Protocol Training. 

Attendees will learn how the UPCS Protocol affects homes financed with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), how defects are determined, health and safety categories and life-threatening hazards. Download the agenda here.

The course benefits staff who are involved in the day-to-day management of rental housing, especially LIHTC housing: executive staff, occupancy specialists, resident services, maintenance and others.

2. Compliance professionals, learn LIHTC/NAHASDA at NTCCP Training | March 22-24 in Tucson 

Crystal Banks-Mann

Designed for staff who are involved in qualifying tenants and leasing homes, Travois Asset Management Assistant Director Crystal Banks-Mann will join the National American Housing Council (NAIHC) to present the three-day NAHADSA & Tax Credit Compliance Professional (NTCCP) Training.

The course will cover:

  • Overview of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) funding,
  • Eligible participants,
  • Application and verification of income,
  • Calculating rent,
  • Lease management,
  • Eligibility, admission and occupancy policies and more!
