The Sokaogon Homes #2 project built 20 new single-family homes in Crandon, Wisconsin.
The homes have either three, four or five bedrooms and range in size from 880 square feet to 1,300 square feet. The two-story homes are painted in earthy blues, grays, creams and greens and have pitched roofs, covered porches and dormer windows.
Designed to be energy-efficient in Wisconsin’s harsh winter climate, the units also include multiple amenities for the residents, including washer/dryer hookups, ceiling fans, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, hard surface flooring, and full basements.
The basements, left unfinished for now, have been designed for future growth. The plumbing for a future bathroom is stubbed-in, making it much more affordable to install fixtures later. Each basement has been planned to include two future bedrooms, which SCHA will build later as needed. Egress windows for each bedroom were included to meet building code requirements, add natural light and provide an exit in case of emergency.
Residents can also enjoy the playground and park built within the subdivision.
Travois Design & Construction Services provided the architectural designs for the project and completed monthly inspections of the work in place during the construction period.
RBC Capital Markets is the investor for this project.
