My colleagues and I had a great time at the AMERIND Risk and National American Housing Council (NAIHC) convention last week at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ. With over 700 attendees, we had plenty of opportunities to catch up with long-time friends and meet many new people. As a Gold sponsor, we were proud to help support our colleagues in the affordable housing industry and share what we’ve learned over the last 20 years in the sessions we led.
I was especially excited to meet NAIHC’s new executive director, Pamala Silas, since it was only her second week on the job! I look forward to getting to know her better and doing what we can to assist NAIHC in its mission.
I also very much enjoyed National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) President & CEO Gary Davis’ keynote speech. He called for continued dedication to the cause and definitely kept everyone’s attention when he rapped the last five minutes. It was an inspiring way to start the week!
Both AMERIND Risk and NAIHC clearly spent a lot of time working on the convention. It was a great one! Thank you! Of course it didn’t hurt that the weather was fabulous, and they hosted a welcome reception poolside.
We’re looking forward to next year’s conference!
