Washoe Housing Authority received a $5.5 million Home Means Nevada award from the Nevada Housing Division to apply to its Low Income Housing Tax Credit development, WHA #2.
WHA #2 includes the new construction of 20 three-bedroom, single-family homes and a community building to serve members of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California.
The Home Means Nevada initiative was funded with American Rescue Plan dollars and provided $500 million to Nevada housing developments. Applications were submitted in four categories: Multi-family Development, Multi-family Preservation, Land Acquisition and Home Ownership: New Development/Rehabilitation.
