Across the LIHTC industry, the operations of an affordable housing development are divided into “compliance” and “asset management.” Generally, compliance focuses on what is needed to maintain eligibility with program rules and regulations, including tenant certification files. Travois Asset Management will now have two full-time employees working from our office in Kansas City who are dedicated to LIHTC compliance.
Asset management focuses on what is needed to maintain the property for the owner and investor’s purposes. This would include oversight of property maintenance procedures, review of financial operations, and monitoring and management of investor equity payments during and after construction is complete. Our asset managers are also certified in LIHTC compliance as well.
Our 24-hour compliance “hotline” is a toll free number that can be used anytime you need to seek guidance from a member of the Travois Asset Management and Compliance team after regular business hours. We have shared this phone number with our clients.
