Pascua Yaqui #8

Arizona

Pascua Yaqui #8 received a 2021 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) award from the Arizona Department of Housing. This development is the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s eighth LIHTC project and will build 27 townhome units on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation in Tucson, Arizona.

The new development will build 12 three-bedroom and three four-bedroom townhomes with attached garages and 12 two-bedroom townhomes.

The design, by Travois architects, incorporates Desert Modern features and includes rooftop terraces, outdoor patio space, unique oversized window frames, stucco siding, metal roofs and wood canopies.

Several green building techniques are included in the design to help lower energy use and costs. Each townhome will have Superior Insulation, Energy Star appliances and energy-efficient windows and doors.

The Pascua Yaqui Wellness Center is located in walking distance from Pascua Yaqui #8. Residents will have access to all amenities: a fitness room, exercise equipment, basketball court and gymnasium and a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool.
