Face-to-face: there are some things you just can’t do over the phone

A group of Travois team members recently traveled to Michigan and Indiana to visit the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. Travois and the band are discussing a number of strategies to increase the availability of affordable housing and good jobs for band members. We place high value on meeting our clients face-to-face and learning more about the communities we seek to serve together.

We are excited to be working for the band because, like our other clients, Pokagon is a progressive organization. Check out this monitor in the lobby of the tribal administration building that tells visitors how much carbon is being offset by the solar panels on the roof.

We spent two days having meetings, which can sometimes be exhausting, but it was hard not to enjoy the work when we could meet in such a beautiful setting and with great food like what was served at the Four Winds Casino.

Thanks to the Pokagon Band for being great hosts and great clients!
