Help us increase social investing in Indian Country: Vote by Friday, June 29

SOCAP is the world’s premier impact investment and social entrepreneurship conference, dedicated to increasing the flow of capital toward social good. Indian Country is often unknown or overlooked as a social investment opportunity.

We want to change this! Help us spread the word about the opportunities and benefits of investing in American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian communities. Vote for the presentation, “The Intersection of Impact Investing and Indigenous Rights” before the voting period ends on Friday, June 29.

It’s fast! Go to our presentation page here and click “Vote up.” Simply enter your email address (you can opt out of future communication), and you’re done. You can vote once per day!

Little Fawn Boland, partner of Ceiba Legal; Imogen Rose-Smith, investment fellow at University of California Office of Chief Investment Officer, and I submitted the interactive session idea with the goal of increasing capital to Indian Country. Little Fawn is a member of our Travois New Markets advisory board, and Imogen and I serve together on the Investors & Indigenous Peoples Working Group (IIPWG), working to advance the “Corporate and Investor Support for Indian Country” priority.

The annual SOCAP conference, SOCAP18, will be held Oct. 23-26 in San Francisco. We hope to be part of it to help promote this important investment opportunity. Thanks in advance for your support!
