Fort Peck Homes II is under construction! The general contractor (GC), Pacific West Construction out of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has begun work on the units, and construction is really moving along. The first six units are scheduled to be completed in September 2012.
The project is off to a great start. The GC hosted a thorough preconstruction meeting at the end of April with the Fort Peck Housing Authority (FPHA), the project’s architect, Travois Design & Construction Services (TD&CS), subcontractors, and officers from Fort Peck’s Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO). The meeting was a good opportunity for all involved to discuss the project timeline and the additional tax-credit-related requirements.
The TD&CS construction team will be visiting the project monthly to monitor the construction and follow the progress of the project.
Our design team is in the process of picking exterior paint colors to present to FPHA. Our goal is to really set these units apart — We have come up with some unique color combinations. Stay tuned for more construction progress photos!
