What attracted you to Travois? I previously worked as an outside vendor for Travois as part of their third-party CPA advisory firm. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the office and working with Marianne and Brett.
How will your past experiences help you in your current position? Working in the public accounting industry for almost five years, I have been exposed to several different accounting and tax situations. In my past experiences, I learned various ways to tackle a project. Public accounting revolves around deadlines throughout the year, and I have become a deadline-oriented person and have not missed a single one!
What did you want to be as a kid? Veterinarian
What is your favorite meal? Ribeye steak with roasted potatoes
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could take one item with you, what would it be? A solar-powered iPod. I know that does not exist yet, but it should!
What talent do you wish you had? I wish I could do the un-even bars in gymnastics – that’s just something that has always fascinated me. They make it look so easy during the Olympics!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working? Go on float trips, play wiffle ball – pretty much anything outdoors if it is nice outside. I like to go to dinner and a movie with friends and family or even just hang out and play some card games.
What is your favorite thing to do in Kansas City? Royals and T-Bones games or eating barbeque; it’s a toss-up!
