Two weeks ago, Michael Bland, Brett Schwarz and I spent a few days with old friends and new contacts at the NAFOA’s Fall Finance & Tribal Economies Conference.
I had an especially good time speaking on a panel with our advisory board member Little Fawn Boland. Little Fawn shared knowledge about the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program and shared the stage with John Hosman of FS Advisors, Dick Helde of Dorsey and Whitney and Spencer Gagnet of Capital One.
After the panel we got a lot of good questions from motivated development teams across Indian Country. It was great fall weather in Boston that made it easy to explore the city’s fascinating neighborhoods and good eats on foot.
It was great to see Little Fawn and all of Travois’ other great friends at this great event. Travois is a Corporate Partner and a big believer in NAFOA’s mission. If your tribe is considering becoming a NAFOA member, we suggest you reach out to VaRene Martin at NAFOA.
