The Yavapai-Apache Nation Housing Authority recently celebrated the grand opening of River Way Park on the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Camp Verde, AZ.
River Way Park is a community space for residents of Low Income Housing Tax Credit development Yavapai-Apache Nation Homes #6. The development includes a playground, volleyball court, tetherball court, shaded gazebo with picnic tables and a walking trail. A community building also sits on the park and was designed by Travois Design architect Adam Teefey. The building includes bathrooms and a room for community gatherings.
The construction of the park also included planting 20 trees that will grow to provide shade and a beautiful landscape for all to enjoy.
At the event, community members and housing staff enjoyed sharing a meal together, listening to live music and watching the children play and laugh on the new equipment. Play It Safe Playgrounds & Park Equipment created this happy video of the event.
Congratulations to Yavapai-Apache Nation on your beautiful new addition!
