Director of design | Travois Design

From the time I was a kid, I have been building with anything I could get my hands on — Legos, cardboard boxes, wooden blocks. Now that I am an experienced architect, I try to bring that same sense of joy to each job. My Legos are collecting dust in my parents’ basement because now I use a new tool to build: relationships.

Our design and construction services team will work with you to conceptualize every aspect of your development. We are the only architecture firm working in Indian Country that is part of a tax credit financing company.

That means, unlike other architects, we can wear two hats at once. We know what it takes to deliver a project that fulfills your community’s aspirations while sticking to a Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) or New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) investor’s budget.

After graduating from Kansas State University’s School of Architecture, I worked as the primary architect for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Region VII office.

I worked with communities to help replace critical infrastructure after damaging storms. My career has always brought together design considerations and community concerns with a strong focus on funding. Our group designs like an architecture firm but thinks like a financing firm. This helps us put ourselves in your shoes and anticipate the challenges you will face.

You can tell me where you want to go: rental housing, homeownership, or a comprehensive mixed-use development. It is my job to help you develop a plan to get to your destination.

Call Travois any time so we can set up a conversation that moves your development forward.
