Every year Travois applies for New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) to bring investment to Indian Country. The most important part of that application is…you! The application includes a project pipeline where we describe the types of investments we will make if we receive an allocation.
We think this year’s application will be due this summer. That means allocations might be announced in early 2020. The pipeline will feature projects that are in the planning and development process but won’t be ready to break ground until late 2019 or early 2020.
We are looking for projects with a total development cost of $5 million or more. Our advisory board has specifically highlighted alcohol and drug treatment facilities and childcare facilities as priorities. But feel free to reach out about any project you believe will make a positive impact on your community.
This isn’t a formal application or submission. This is the beginning of a conversation.
Tell us if you want your community’s project to be included in the pipeline. There is no hard deadline yet. But the sooner we hear from you, the more likely we are to be able to include the project.
