We know our housing clients look forward to the day when that last unit is built, the investor’s final construction equity disbursement has come through, and tenants start moving in.

It was quite an exciting week for the White Mountain Apache Housing Authority (WMAHA).

This photo shows San Carlos Apache’s new construction project, Tulapai Flats. It is part of the San Carlos Housing Authority’s sixth Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) project.

The National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) had a very successful Leadership Institute Expo in beautiful Seattle, WA, the week of June 10. All of the courses were well attended.

At the end of May, our housing development team, Adam, Casey, Emily S., and I, attended the 2013 Minnesota Affordable Housing Conference in Minneapolis, MN.

Congratulations to the Standing Rock Housing Authority and BIA Land Management “Terminators” basketball team on winning the 2013 Standing Rock Hoopla Charity Basketball Tournament! The tournament was held to raise money for the McLaughlin Theater.

A few weeks back, Standing Rock Housing Authority staff members attended the South Dakota Tribal Relations Day at the South Dakota State Capitol in Pierre.

It’s hard to believe it’s already March 1. Where did the time go? Before 2013 gets away from us, we asked Travois Chairman David Bland to reflect back on some of the successes and challenges the company faced in 2012 and what’s in store for Travois in 2013.

Beautiful! I had never been to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan before, and I finally got my chance recently. Sault Ste. Marie is located where three of the Great Lakes come together: Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
