Lauren Dahl

Architect and consultant for Travois Design

You have heard it before: “Architects like to make things pretty, who cares if it's buildable or affordable.” This is not true of our team. We strive to not only make housing a reality, but to help create beautiful homes for community members in Indian Country that increase their quality of life; generate inspiration and provide a feeling of comfort, belonging and ownership.

As a true entrepreneur, I know it is possible to focus on your community’s aspirations and your bottom line at the same time. Numbers don’t lie, and we've got mountains of spreadsheets to prove it! My job is to help you realize the dreams of your families with the funds our development team can help procure. At Travois, our teams work in parallel from the very beginning to tackle all the shifts, unknowns and twists and turns throughout the (very) overwhelming development process.

I continue to be involved as adjunct faculty for my alma mater, Kansas State University (Go Cats!), and was recognized as their 2012 Architectural Alumnus of the Year. I am ICC-certified as a Residential Building, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Inspector, am a licensed Wisconsin Commercial and Residential Building Inspector, hold an NCARB Certificate and architecture licenses in 19 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and counting!
