Trent Rogers

Director of housing development | Travois

In my role as director of housing development, I lead a dedicated team of project managers in the creation and implementation of innovative affordable housing projects in collaboration with our Tribal clients. I guide efforts to navigate the nuances of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, secure gap financing, advocate for tribal priorities in housing policy, and provide strategic solutions to overcome project challenges.

I earned a law degree with a Tribal lawyer certificate from the University of Kansas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University. My role at Travois allows me to blend my educational experience alongside a strong personal passion of working within Tribal communities.

Prior to stepping into this leadership role, my time as a Senior Project Manager at Travois allowed me to refine my expertise in project management, client advocacy, and financial structuring for Tribal housing projects. These experiences enabled me to build strong relationships across Indian Country and strengthened my commitment to supporting Tribal communities and advancing Tribal sovereignty through housing development.

Outside of work, I am an active runner and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. My wife, two children, and I often escape to Colorado to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
