Community planner | Travois Design

Planning is my passion, and I am excited to bring my expertise to American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian communities through Travois. I create master plans, area plans and feasibility studies for clients.

I’ve worked with neighborhood groups, local government organizations, and regional planning entities and have experience collaborating on a wide-range of projects, starting with grassroots pursuits and scaling up to metro-wide, regional efforts.

I apply the same principles I learned in these experiences to the development of neighborhoods and communities in Indian Country. I can assist you, no matter how big or small your plans may be.

My dad was a carpenter while I was growing up. He taught me how to work with my hands, practical knowledge that is sometimes taken for granted. These experiences made a lasting impression on me, and as an adult, I spent my own time in the trade as a carpenter. I base my work off these life experiences and also draw from my education, a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Any firm can produce beautiful renderings and lay out bold ambitions. You are looking for a planner who can both foster a vision and ground it in reality. I have experience being at the table when the vision is established and also on site physically putting the pieces together.

Get in touch with Travois today and tell me your vision. I’m ready to begin the planning process.
