Travois housing development team helps three tribes receive tax credit awards

10th Annual Travois Indian Country Tax Credit Conference: Aug. 31-Sept.

The Turtle Mountain Housing Authority recently received an award of $516,598 in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) from the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency. TMHA will use this award to build 28 affordable housing units in two multifamily buildings in Belcourt and St. John, N.D.

Join Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-S.D.) in urging banks to invest in tribal affordable housing and economic development. Travois has worked with Rep.

Phil Glynn, director of Travois New Markets, contributed an article titled “Indian Country: An NMTC Investment Oasis in an Uncertain Market” to the spring 2010 issue of the Reznick Group New Markets Tax Credit Connection newsletter.

Travois and Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Housing were profiled in the March issue of the Tax Credit Advisor, a monthly publication devoted to covering tax incentives, published by the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association.
