Travois worked with Pacific Growth Associates as consultants in late 2013 to bring more than $22 million in New Market Tax Credit (NMTC)

I recently attended the grand opening ceremony for Educare Winnebago, a new early education center for the tribe’s infants, toddlers and preschoolers, along with Beth Heap, communications director.

With December right around the corner, it’s a good time to start reflecting on the year behind us. This year our Travois New Markets team took time to meet with people at projects funded with New Markets Tax Credits.

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska celebrated the opening of Educare Winnebago at an inspiring grand opening last month. Educare Winnebago is the tribe’s new early childhood education center that is serving more than 150 infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Whenever I travel, I always write out a to-do list. I thought I’d give you a jump-start and start your list for our 14th Annual Affordable Housing & Economic Development Conference.

On a recent trip to Wisconsin, I had an opportunity to tour the Peter Christensen Dental Clinic on the Lac du Flambeau Reservation. The tour was coordinated by Mary Peterson, Lac du Flambeau tribal treasurer, and led by Dr. Paco Fralick, the clinic’s director.

I recently visited Itom Mahtawa’ Apo, a tribal education center and Travois New Markets project, on the Pascua Yaqui reservation in Tucson, AZ.

We are gearing up to send in an application to the U.S. Treasury for an allocation of New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC). Here’s where we need your help. In the application, we need to provide information about projects that can benefit from and qualify for the program.
