U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD), chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, held a hearing on “Housing Partnerships in Indian Country” today in Washington, D.C.

Fort Peck Homes II is under construction! The general contractor (GC), Pacific West Construction out of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has begun work on the units, and construction is really moving along. The first six units are scheduled to be completed in September 2012.
The project is off to a great start.

Excitement is circulating from the birth of a white bison. The bull calf was born on a Connecticut farm in mid-June. The owner of the farm, Peter Fay, began raising bison as a hobby four years ago.

Nothing has been made official, but buzz in the industry tells us the 2012 New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation application may be published this month. If so, Community Development Entities (CDEs) like Travois will probably have about 60 days to compile and submit applications.
