We will end our Superhero spotlights with this final awardee. Tohono O’odham Ki:Ki Association (TOKA) of Sells, Arizona, was awarded the Project Team of the Year for representing what we are all striving for in Indian Country affordable housing or economic development.

This week we will recognize our Haven of the Year recipient, Eva Doyle. Eva is a member of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo in El Paso, Texas. She’s worked in affordable housing since 1982 and is currently a Low Income Housing Tax Credit specialist at the YDSP housing department.

Travois staff attended the AMERIND Risk | NAIHC Annual Convention and Tradeshow this week. It was a busy and beautiful week in Hawaii! We enjoyed seeing so many friends at our conference booth and are always excited to meet new friends too.

This week’s Superhero Awards winner feature is Advanced Native Construction, receiving the Pillar of the Year Award. The award honors a construction or maintenance professional, company or group that has played a key role in building communities.
