It’s a big week for us – the 13th Annual Indian Country Affordable Housing & Economic Development Conference starts tonight with a welcome reception at our office in Kansas City, Mo!

The 13th Annual Travois Indian Country Affordable Housing & Economic Development Conference is coming soon, and registration is now open!

Phil Glynn is the vice president of economic development for Travois and has worked here for more than six years.

Casey Cline has been a project coordinator for Travois since November 2011. In her position, she helps tribes/Tribally Designated Housing Entities to acquire the funding needed to build or renovate low income housing on their lands.

Several Travois staff members prepared food and served meals at the Episcopal Community Kitchen in Kansas City recently. This volunteer activity was organized by our Anigadugi Volunteer Committee.

For more than a year, Travois has donated our prominent billboard space to local nonprofits for six-month leases. (See past boards here). We want to help local nonprofits spread the word about the good work they are doing without having to pay for costly advertising space.

In February, Travois New Markets was awarded a $70 million New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation.
