Several weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting two clients of Travois Design & Construction Services for professional photo shoots: Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Homes II and White Earth (WE) Homes IV.

As of Nov. 1, 2012, three new tribal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects are now under construction in the state of Arizona after having closed with RBC Capital Markets in October.

Within two weeks of each other, two separate tribally-developed Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects closed with their respective equity investors.

To promote goodwill between Turkey and tribal nations in the United States, Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) will present one grant up to $1 million to an Indian Country infrastructure development project.

While the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program is a federal program, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) relies on individual states to administer it. Every year, each state holds public hearings and prepares a Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) outlining its goals and plans for the next year.
