Delfina Ortiz has joined our Travois Asset Management team as a compliance specialist. In her role she will review tenant files “with a fine-toothed comb” and help clients keep their properties in compliance. Her attention to detail and her easygoing nature make her a perfect fit at Travois.

The Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program provides housing for the neediest residents in the country. For compliance professionals, calculating incomes and ensuring residents qualify to live in LIHTC-financed homes requires a careful review of a household’s gross annual income.

It is quite an accomplishment and was an even better surprise. Last month, at the New Mexico Infrastructure Finance Conference (NMIFC), the Pueblo of Acoma Housing Authority (PAHA) won a 2017 Best Practice Award for outstanding achievement in housing in New Mexico.

This week, 30 asset management and compliance professionals joined me in Scottsdale, Arizona for the NAHASDA & Tax Credit Compliance Professionals (NTCCP) training
