Great Lakes region a hub of Indian Country development

After a day of visiting clients in Wisconsin and Minnesota, I am reminded of a few things. First, always pack a warm coat. Second, be sure to brew a cup of Red Lake Nation Foods’ herbal tea before starting a long drive. Third, Minnesota and Wisconsin are hubs for Indian Country housing and community development.

If you want to visit some of America’s most successful Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) projects, you will likely be passing through Taylors Falls on your way. No matter which side of the St. Croix River you are on, you will learn that tribal organizations across both states have used tax credits to achieve amazing things.

Every trip a Travois employee takes is a chance to be reminded of what is possible when we pair our investors’ capital with our clients’ creativity. We look forward to visiting each region of the country soon to be similarly inspired.
